We are very happy to finally be able to welcome you back to d&g and cannot wait to serve you! 

There are a few things we’ve had to change in the way we usually do things in order to keep both you and our staff safe from any                                         potential risks, so we’d like to outline them for you here.


  • From 12th April we will only be able to serve to our outside tables and can only take bookings for up to two households or a group of at most six from any number of households.

  • From 17th May we will be able to take bookings for inside tables for groups of up to two households or a group of at most six from any number of households. There will be no restrictions on groups outside.

  • These dates are subject to government confirmation and your booking may be cancelled or moved if we are not permitted to open.


  • You are required to wear a mask to enter the restaurant (including outside tables) and when not seated at your table.  Please ensure you are wearing your mask when you arrive.

  • Every booking will have a unique arrival time in order to reduce contact with other customers, so please try to arrive as close to your booked time as you can.

  • Please wait at the sign for us to come and meet you.  This way we can ensure that your table is sanitised and ready for you, and limit movement around the restaurant.

  • Please use the hand sanitiser provided before entering the restaurant.

  • All customers aged 16 and over are legally obliged to register their details using either the NHS Covid-19 app or providing us with a name and contact number.

Ordering & Service

  • You will be able to find all out menus on our website if you’d prefer to use your personal device, and you can use our free wifi to access them.

  • We will use laminated menus that will be sanitised between every use.

  • A staff member will take your order at the table to make sure that we can still provide the same level of personal service that we always have done.

  • Your food and drinks will be brought to you on a tray and we’ll invite you to take your own dish.


  • Your bill will be brought to you at the table and we’ll take your payment there too.

  • We would prefer not to accept cash and contactless payments are preferred where possible please.


  • Please do not queue in the corridor to use the toilet.

  • You will find hand sanitiser at the top of the corridor to use before you enter.

  • The toilet will be cleaned regularly throughout the day.
